  1. Discovery & Kickoff:
  • The discovery call is when project scope, timeline, and budget are finalized and documented in a proposal or contract.
  • The project begins with a workshop to discuss introductions, goals, collect assets, credentials, scope overview, requirements, ideas, and milestone review. SVZ will ask questions about your brand, target audience, functionality needs, likes/dislikes (often showing examples).
  1. Research & Strategy: All SVZ design projects include at minimum a one week agile research phase – reviewing competitors, analyzing user needs, persona posters, empathy mapping, user stories, and planning the site content structure (IA/sitemap). SVZ will also develop a brief that outlines the site’s messaging/tone and conversion strategy.
  2. Wireframes & Information Architecture: Before visual design, SVZ creates wireframes (blueprint-like layouts without full design) to map out page structures, animations, navigation, and content hierarchy. You review all of these with stakeholders to make sure all necessary content and features are accounted for in the right places.
  3. Visual Design (UI/UX): The creative part – our designers craft the look and feel of the site. We’ll present all pages in high-fidelity interactive mockups, showcasing animations, etc. You provide feedback and we iterate until you’re happy (Typically 3 creative revision rounds per page although revisions with SVZ are unlimited, crazy we know). Good agencies ensure the design aligns with your brand and is user-friendly regardless of revision rounds. We won’t stop till your happy. Revision rounds can effect timeline so we always suggest 3 creative revision rounds to stay on timeline.
  4. Development: Once designs are approved, our senior director of development spearheads the site leading our development department. This could involve setting up a CMS (ex. Webflow Content Management System), coding custom features, and making the site responsive (mobile-friendly). During this phase, with most agencies you might not see much for a few weeks, but with SVZ we share a staging link from the start of development allowing you to see daily progress. We’ll never disappear for weeks and then deliver, we always communicate.
  5. Content Integration: Your site’s words, animations, images, WebGL, GSAP, and videos get placed into the built pages. Some clients provide copy, others have SVZ produce or refine content. Either way, It’s important that content is ready on time to keep the project moving.
  6. Review & Testing: SVZ will test the site on various devices and browsers, checking for bugs or design inconsistencies. You’ll be invited to review the working site (often on a staging server) throughout the development process as we go- making review easy to divide and conquer. This is your chance to internally click through every page, test forms, and ensure everything looks/feels as expected. You’ll provide a list of issues (if any) or final tweaks and we’ll optimize as needed.
  7. Launch: Once all is approved, the site is deployed live by SVZ or your team depending on preference. We provide a launch check-list and even post marketing suggestions. SVZ handles the technical launch most of the time (pointing the domain, setting up hosting, etc.) – “We are 100% hands-on for launch,”. We ensure everything is in full working order on our live domain.
  8. Post-Launch Support: SVZ  includes a complimentary support window (of 90 days) to fix any post-launch issues. We also always provide CMS training if you’ll be updating the site in-house – for instance, SVZ provides a custom tutorial mini-series to teach clients how to use their new tech-stack and CMS. We also do a live walk-through and training as well.
  9. Ongoing Maintenance (optional): After launch and warranty, you might engage SVZ on a retainer for updates, new features, or SEO/marketing support. SVZ firms offers maintenance packages or are available ad-hoc as needed .

Throughout this process, communication is key. Expect regular check-ins (weekly or bi-weekly status calls) and use of project management tools. When you start a project with SVZ, we follow these steps closely. We emphasize a strong kickoff (to align on strategy), transparent development progress, and thorough training at hand-off – so you’re comfortable and excited taking the keys to your new website.

We only take on one new project each month — reserve your slot early.
